Global Gourmet Foods was founded in 1988 by Anne Hill with a mission of providing “Quality Food from People Who Care”™. This mantra has been the guiding principle throughout Global Gourmet’s history.  Anne's son Richard Breakell joined the family business in 1993 as Vice President.

In 2020, Global Gourmet became a wholly-owned subsidiary of Premium Brands Holdings Inc., with Richard Breakell becoming CEO to carry on the tradition of "Quality Food from People Who Care"
